Kyle attended and earned his Juris Doctorate with Civil Law Certificate, Cum Laude from Mississippi College School of Law in 2013. While at MC Law, Kyle was a member of the Moot Court Board, and served as Trial Advocacy Chair. While on the Board, Kyle participated in six national competitions, and his team finished as national quarterfinalists in the St. John’s National Civil Rights Trial Competition. Kyle was also selected as a national member of the Order of the Barrister. Additionally, Kyle was President of the Advocacy Society, Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, Treasurer of the Law Student Bar Association, and co-founder of the Civil Law Society.
Following graduation, Kyle began he career as Corporate Counsel for a Bank in Monroe, Louisiana. In this position, he was involved in the decision making for all legal and compliance issues for the Bank. Kyle also served as the Bank Secrecy Act officer, and was responsible for the Bank Secrecy Act program for the Bank. Kyle obtained the internationally recognized designation of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. While at the Bank, Kyle was also asked to serve as an adjunct faculty member at the American Bankers Association, Graduate School of Compliance Risk Management. Now at Cotton, Bolton, Hoychick, & Doughty, LLP, Kyle brings this knowledge with him to advise the firms many financial institution clients. Since coming to Cotton Bolton, Kyle has expanded his practice, to include: insurance defense litigation, corporate law and litigation, real estate, succession, and estate planning, in addition to banking law.
Kyle is a member of the Fifth Judicial District Court Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association. Kyle is admitted in all Louisiana state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Kyle also serves as one of two coaches of the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Mock Trial team, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Richland Parish Chamber of Commerce, and is Treasurer of the MC Law Alumni Board of Directors.
