Before going to law school, Mr. Hoychick obtained his undergraduate degree from Louisiana College in 1967, then went on to Florida State to obtain his Masters in 1969. He then graduated from Louisiana State University School of Law in 1975. Upon graduation, he came to Cotton & Bolton. At that time he served as an associate under the original partners of the firm, and now serves as the firm’s senior partner. During his practice Mr. Hoychick has established himself as one of the most effective and respected litigators in the region. He has even been named a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Hoychick has a diverse practice which includes complex litigation and appeals, insurance defense, civil litigation, personal injury, estate planning, trusts, wills, successions, commercial and residential real estate, and corporate law to name a few.
