Thomas E. Allen graduated from Louisiana State University in 1992. Upon graduation he came to Cotton, Bolton, Hoychick, & Doughty, LLP. During his career, Mr. Allen has focused his practice on the representation of financial institutions and real estate transactions. He performs, among other things, extensive collections work for his financial institution clients. Mr. Allen through his focus on real estate transactions has done extensive title and real estate work, and is an approved closing attorney for most area banks. He also does a significant amount of estate planning and succession work.
Mr. Allen is a member of the Fourth and Fifth Judicial District Bar Associations, the Louisiana Bankers Association Bank Counsel Section, where he serves as a member of the Bank Counsel Committee. Mr. Allen serves on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Oak Ridge, Riverfield Academy, and the Louisiana Bayou Bluebird Society. Mr. Allen formerly served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth and Sixth Judicial District Courts.
