David graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tulane University Law School in 1988. David finished as the top student in Louisiana Law Studies and was second in his class overall. While at Tulane, he was a member of the Law Review, serving on the Board of Student Editors. He was also awarded the Morrison and Law Review awards for publishing the most outstanding article in the 1987-88 issue of the Tulane Law Review. David also excelled in oral advocacy while at Tulane, finishing as a semi-finalist in the Moot Court Board Trial competition. He was also inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Since coming to Cotton & Bolton, David has established himself as an accomplished litigator, handling a wide variety of civil litigation matters. David’s clients include major insurance companies, Banks, and other large corporations. Since joining the firm he has also served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial District. He currently serves as a member of the Louisiana Bar Association Attorney Disciplinary Board Hearing Committee, and was a past Chairman of the Committee. He is a member of the 5th Judicial District Bar Association, the National District Attorney’s Association, The Louisiana District Attorney’s Association, and the Louisiana School Lawyers Association.
